RateCUHK 使用條款

RateCUHK is an online platform for members of The Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) community to share and discover reviews and experiences related to courses, canteens, and teachers, with the goal of promoting transparency and mutual support within the community.

2.1. Eligibility: You must be a student, faculty member, or alumnus of The Chinese University of Hong Kong to register for and use this service.

2.2. Account Security: You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account password. You are fully responsible for all activities that occur under your account. Please notify us immediately of any unauthorized use.

2.3. Accuracy of Information: You agree to provide accurate, truthful, and complete information upon registration.

You agree not to use the service for any illegal or prohibited activities under these terms. You shall not:

• Post any content that is false, defamatory, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, threatening, or obscene.

• Post content that infringes upon the intellectual property rights (e.g., copyright, trademark) or privacy rights of others.

• Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.

• Post any unauthorized advertising, spam, or chain letters.

• Upload or transmit any viruses, trojan horses, or other malicious code designed to disrupt, interfere with, or limit the functionality of any computer software or hardware.

• Post reviews or comments that are not based on a genuine, first-hand experience.

4.1. Ownership of Content: You retain ownership of all content (including comments, ratings, etc.) that you create and post on RateCUHK.

4.2. License to Us: By posting content on RateCUHK, you grant us a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free, transferable license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, distribute, and display your content for the purposes of operating and promoting the website. This license is solely for the purpose of displaying your content on the platform.

4.3. Responsibility for Content: You are solely responsible for all content you post. As a neutral platform, RateCUHK does not endorse and is not responsible for the accuracy, legality, or authenticity of any user-generated content.

We reserve the right, but not the obligation, to:

• Monitor, review, edit, or remove any content that we, in our sole discretion, deem to be in violation of these terms or otherwise inappropriate, without prior notice.

• Suspend or permanently terminate your access to your account if you violate these terms.

The service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, completely secure, or error-free. You acknowledge that you rely on any user-generated content at your own risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, RateCUHK and its founders shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the service.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. The updated terms will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective Date." We recommend that you review them periodically. Your continued use of the website after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
